The Barre Partnership Receives Letter and Proclamation from Governor Scott

In a letter dated January 27, 2023, Governor Phil Scott recognized and honored The Barre Partnership, Barre’s Designated Downtown Organization, for taking the lead to decorate Barre’s downtown, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Governor Scott stated that the Partnership’s work over the holiday season is a great example of Barre’s strong community spirit, and serves as an inspiration for others to step up and light the way.

The lights and decorations were a part of The Barre Partnership’s Merry Barre Holidays Light Up the City Project, which was made possible by the Vermont Department of Housing & Community Development’s Better Places Program. The Partnership crowdfunded over $5,000 from the community and received a 2:1 matching grant.
